My Goodies!!

Here are my goodies from Florida........

I'm Back From Scrapbook Expo

First, I would like to say that I'm very proud of myself because I drove from South Carolina to Florida and back. That is a very significant event for me because I do not like to drive longer than an hour. My family and I stayed in Jacksonville for one night because my step daughter is stationed there at the Naval Hospital. Then I drove us to Orlando the next day. I had no idea that the Gaylord Palms Hotel was so beautiful. The scenery inside the hotel is great!. All of the pictures that I included in this post were taken inside of the Gaylord Palms. My daughter loved the animals (catfish, pond fish, turtles, snakes, swordfish and alligators). She kept saying, "Mommma, we are in the jungle!" The staff was very helpful and professional. Our room was very beautiful and clean.
Every room in the hotel had a computer with internet access. Needless to say, I have already started dropping hints about going back to Orlando in August for CHA.

Polka Dot Challenge (SSPT)

Our current challenge over at the SSPT Blog is to complete a project with Polka Dots. This door hanger that I made for my daughter's room today fits the requirements. I used the door hanger cut from the TBBM cart and I stretched it in Design Studio. I cut the box part out with my paper cutter. I used My Mind's Eye paper. TFL.

Happy Days Are Here Again!

As I was about to turn onto the road that leads to my house, guess who I saw??? The UPS man! I knew that he had dropped off my Big Shot Express. I had it up and running in minutes. I really like this machine more that the manual BS. It really works fast. It is loud like a power drill, but the loudness only last a couple of seconds, enough time to cut or emboss your material. I was mistaken about two things: first I thought the Express cutting space was smaller than the orginal BS, but their size seem the same to me. Also I thought that the cutting sheets from the orginal could not be used in the express....wrong! So far I love it and the Sizzix embossing folders that came along with it. Now, I'm off to go make space for it. Since it is electric, I don't want to store it where I had the orginal....on the floor! Later......

Cute Clipboard

This is my entry for the challenge at the Sugar Sweet Paper Treats Blog. The requirements are as follows:

"April showers bring may flowers...Main focus for May 1st challenge is flowers, but there is a twist...something has to be 3D - it doesnt matter what, it can be a box, journal, purse, an altered item or a card with a 3D embellishment on it. Anything goes the choice is yours...just remember flowers and 3 dimensional."

The pictures are of my Goddaughter, Narcia. I used Cuttlebug flowers and punched flowers with pearls as accents. I like the way it came out. TFL.

Sad Night For Me!!!

I feel so sad and depressed right now. Tonight as I was attempting to emboss a clear card (something that I have done before), my beloved Bigshot broke! Small pieces of metal came out of the handle and then it started to make a clicking sound. The card that I was embossing was more than half way through my Bigshot before it just broke. I don't know if it can be repaired. Customer service was closed when I called. So of course being a shop-a-holic, I went to QVC.com and purchased the Bigshot Express package. Diecutting & Embossing with the touch of a button does sound good. If my Bigshot can be repaired I will get it fixed and let my daugther use it when she wants to scrap with me.

It's been a while........

Happy Belated National Scrapbooking Day! I haven't done much creating lately, mostly I have been shopping online and trying to decide which Scrapbook Expo site I would visit. It was a toss up between Georgia and Florida. Finally I settled with Florida and I'm still in the planning stage. I have a room booked already in the hotel that the Expo will be taking place and managed to get that Monday after off because I was scheduled to work. Lately I have been online trying to look at the vendors and what they have to offer. I want to take classes, but won't be able to because I'm traveling with my family and I want us to have some fun together. Enough about the Expo.
The SSPT Blog has posted its next challenge and we would like for everyone to join us in creating items for this challenge. So, please look to the right and you will see the SSPT site listed under my favorite blogs.
I made another Disney Princess name plaque.... these things are too much fun! I had problems with her eyes and found a quick solution.....rhinestones. Only a True Princess has eyes made of Bling! LOL. This plaque is for my cousin her nicknmae is FeFe. I hope she likes it. TFL.
