New Software!

I was on the SCAL MB when I noticed a post about a new software for the Cricut. It is called MTC Make The Cut. I know that I'm going to have to try it because it combines both the capabilities of SCAL 2 and Inkscape into one program, Yah! So I will be downaloading a trial version soon.
Here is the link: http://www.make-the-cut.com/

Sympathy Cards

I made these cards for two of my co-workers that I have known for many years. They are brothers who recently lost their Grandmother. The pictures are not the best, I had a hard time trying to take a picture without glare.

Coloring Pages.....

I made this plate for my In Laws. I used an online coloring page for the cut (bells). I really love the trace function in SCAL 2. All you have to do is open the coloring page in SCAL 2 push the trace button and you now have a beautiful, free design to cut. I have decided that the easier way to share the coloring pages that I have saved and/or used would be to post them as a picture on my blog. If you want one of these coloring pages to trace in SCAL 2 just double click on the picture to make it bigger, then right click and save the picture on your computer to import into Sure Cuts Alot.

My Latest Toy....

I had been debating a while about purchasing a Slice machine and finally, I decided to get one. It was a hard decision to make because there were many mixed reviews, so I decided to just try it out for myself. And I'm glad that I did! It cuts very well and it has very pretty designs. My Slice came with extra cutting blades, embossing tips and the embossing mat, markers, design idea cards, a pack of patterned paper, a spatula, adhesive & brush and a new MS Plus Design Card!. My Slice will be a good companion for my E, but not a replacement.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving
New Graphics

I just want to wish anyone who passes through a Happy Thanksgiving now, because I will be entertaining over 30 people at my home tommorrow and probably won't have time to post. Enjoy and be safe.

Thanksgiving Charger Plate

In between cleaning for our holiday guests, I managed enough "spare time" to make this plate for my dinning room table. The image is from a online color book page which is easily traced with SCAL 2 and the Font is Aquarelle, which is a free font (I don't buy fonts). I also used the coloring book pages to cut the Bratz image a couple of weeks ago. TFL.

Stuck On Vinyl!

Sometimes I wish that I never learned about cutting vinyl. I spend most of my time in front of the computer searching for images to trace in SCAL to cut in vinyl. I did have a little time to create another Bookatrix card. The plaque is for my DD's room she loves the Bratz dolls. The Bookatrix will be part of my dinning room centerpiece for Thanksgiving. The date on my camera is wrong, my DH took the batteries out to recharge them. TFL.

Happy Halloween!!!

Have a safe and Happy Halloween. Please remember to inspect all treats before allowing the kids to eat them. Not much creating going on today. I did use my E to put the children's names on their bags and pail. I used SCAL & Creampuff font which looks alot like HKF. While I was working on making these names I heard a horn blow in my yard and knew that it was the mail man with "MY GOODIES". I ordered these carts from Scrappers Must Haves. I love how she does business she is very fast and efficient. TFL.

Get Well Card

I made this card today in a rush after hearing that my husband's elder aunt fell and broke her finger. This is my first Bookatrix card. It came out okay, but I know I can do alot better. Maybe I should have added a butterfly or something by the treat cup? Next time.....
Also, I found this punch set at Walmart for $20 that is a much better price than buying them separate at Michaels (which is how I purchased my MS Loop punch). TFL.

I have been doing too much shopping and not enough creating lately. But I did make the time to create this for my Husband's Grandmother's 86th birthday that will be celebrated tommorrow. I used the Sweet Treat cups again! I used Susan BlueRobot's SCAL cutfile for the roses. TFL.
