SSPT Challenge-Neapolitan Theme

Guess what??? My daughter earned 1st place for her science project!!! She is so proud.....now she wants her own Cricut so she can cut letters out when she wants.

My project today is for the 2nd challenge at the SSPT blog. The requirements are:

THINK ICE CREAM!

1)Create a project, any project, using a Neapolitan ice cream theme.
2)Use all three colors; chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.
3)Use your favorite flavor as the dominant color in your project.

I made a name plaque for my daugther using the Hello Kitty font. This was the first time I actually cut one of the Disney Princesses. I had fun putting her together except the eyes. (Which now I realize aren't put in correctly) Practice makes perfect. The bird cage is a Cottage Cutz die. TFL.

My Weekend Items.....

These are the items I completed yesterday. I used my new SU Top Note Die and Chatterbox Brad maker on both items. I used a piercing temple from Our Daily Bread on the card. The piercing temple makes a nice design on the card and is very easy to use. The dashed lines on the card are from using the New Scorebug with the Scorepal. You may have to double click on the picture to see the details. TFL

Science Project

My daugther and I used my Expression to cut out the letters for her science project. Prea embossed the letters all by herself using Cuttlebug folders and my Bigshot. We even used punches and nesties. My husband came in the room and said, Deborah, it's a science project, not a craft project!!!! Of course I responded, "Well, it will be a "cute" science project now!"

A new challenge has been posted at the SSPT blog so please stop by and see what the designers are creating. I haven't started on my SSPT project yet, I'm still trying to decide what to create. Thanks for stopping by....

My First SSPT Project!!!

I just finished my first project for the SSPT design team. This has been an extremely busy week for me and it hasn't slowed down yet. My project submission is a Flower Pot Card that is blooming with everything SWEET! I enjoyed making this card and will create others similar to it in the very near future. This card will be super sweet for Mothers' Day. I used Brazil paper and I beleive the plaid paper is out of the Sweet Stack, but I could be wrong. The cupcakes and strawberries are from the Hello Kity Greetings cart. The word "Sweet" came from the New Arrival cart. The butterfly and ladybug are Quickkutz dies. Also, I used Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesties. TFL.

More B-Day Items....

I'm still working on items for my cousins birthday. Today, I etched a plate and made a simple card. This weekend will be busy for me so I expect to start assisting my daughter on her science project and complete the challenge for SSPT on or before April 14, 2009.

New Design Team/Surprise B-Day Items

I was recently invited to become a member of the SSPT Design Team and I'm very happy about it because sometimes I need that little push for me to continue creating. Our first project requirements has already been posted. There are so many ideas flowing through my mind. I was even thing about the project while I was at work. Make sure to stop by the SSPT blog on the 15th of April to see what all of the creative designers came up with.

Today, I want to share some items that I made for my cousin's 45th Surprise Birthday Party. I would like to thank my greatest enabler Jen C for the two cutfiles that I used (Purse & Bikini cards). I will probably make more things throughout the week if I have time but my schedule is pretty full this week. TFL.

My Home Decor Cart Arrived!!!

I was so thrilled when I saw the package with the Customs Declaration form on it, because I knew that it had finally arrived. I have been wanting this cart for a while but I wasn't willing to pay the high prices that are on Ebay. If anyone is interested in purchasing the Home Decor cart, I highly reccommmend the store in the United Kingdom that I purchased mine from. In American dollars I paid $57.00 and shipping was free!! It does take about 8 - 9 days to receive your order. Here is a link to the store that I used:
