Happy New Years/Happy Birthday To Me!
In a few minutes it will be 2009 and I want to take this time out to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope we are all blessed with good health for our families. I hope this New Year brings great things for everyone. I hope that I don't look any older since I'm a New Years' baby. Oh yeah and I hope to have a safe day at work....I really don't want to work on my B-day, but I have to. Happy New Years'!!!!

Altered Bank/Bucket Bag/Bookmark
Today I did something that I love to do. I altered something! This container was given to us by our Electric Company with two energy efficient bulbs inside. Once the bulbs are removed it becomes a bank to put all the money that you saved while using the bulbs. I started out with soft colors today and kept that color scheme through all of my projects. Today was my second attempt at using Flower Soft. I didn't use the recommended PVC glue, I just used regular glue. I will be purchasing PVC glue in the near future. The Flower Soft give the projects dimension, but it is hard to tell from the pictures. Every time I try to get a close up picture it comes out horrible. I didn't use any Cricut other than the Bucket purse that was designed by Jen C. I used my DD Cuttle Kids die cuts for the tulip and handbag. I added some bling and beads to wake up the soft colors. (Updated with close ups...although the color of everything changed in the pics>) TFL

Pillow Box
I really am taking advantage of my vacation days which are soon to end. I go back to work on Monday and I'm trying to complete as many projects as I can. I made this pillow box with the Wedding cart and I used nesties for the heart. I can fill the pillow box with candy for the kids. I decorated this picture frame for my daughter's school picture. The definition defines her very well.
Valentine Window Box
This box is so cute! Thanks, Jen C for the cut file! I used the same colors that I used on the Hobo purse so I may make a coordinating card next. I hope everyone is enjoying the after Christmas sales out there.

Merry Christmas!
I hope everyone received what they wanted under the tree. Of course the most important gifts are right in our faces everyday: family and friends. I decided to give Jen C's (hobo) purse a Valentine's Day look. I used the Cuttlebug (paisley) embossing folder and a Martha Stewart border punch. TFL.

The Cutiest Purse!
I love this purse! This is a cut file from the very talented Jen C, she is definitely one of my enablers. This was a very easy file to cut and assemble. I used Springtime colors and as an afterthought I could see this as a bag to give little girls some Easter candy in. I can see it in red for Valentine's day also. I added a Friskars border punch at the bottom, a tag from TBBM and a flower from Plantin. My eight year old saw it and held her hand out saying, "Mom, hand it here"
Not yet, Prea! Jen C, thanks for the cut file you are great!!
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
I'm pretty sure that tommorrow will be a busy day for me, so I would like to take the time now to wish any and everyone who stops by a Very Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.

New Counter
I had to delete my old counter and add a new one because my old counter was having "issues". I had only announced my blog to the public about a month ago and my old counter displayed 40,000 hits. In my dreams!!! So, my new counter is my reality check! I have finished wrapping all of my Christmas gifts and I'm putting the finishing touches on cleaning my scrap area... I have too much stuff. Hopefully tommorrow I will get back into creating again.

Gift Bag Tags
I needed to make gift tags for the Christmas bags that I'm giving to my daugther and my three Goddaughters. Yesterday I put all of my Christmas paper and stamps away while I was cleaning my crafting area. I used pastel colors and my new Hello Kitty Font cart for their names. I used TBBM for the tags and good ole George for the white part of the tag. I also used some of my cuttlebug embossing folders. I think the tags came out cute. I hope the girls like them......I know thay will love what's in the bags!

Project Finished
I didn't think I would have this finished until Wednesday, but I finished it tonight. The Hello Kitty Cart is really a strong "enabler" for me. She is just so cute that I can't wait to create things with her.
Thrilled....
I was on the Cricut Messageboard reading the responses to the Hello Kitty/TBBM bag that I created when I noticed two of the posts said congrats on your mention in the chrip. I was so thrilled to have the first and only project that I ever submitted "mentioned". That gave me the motivation to continue creating. I'm working on something right now and I hope to have it posted by Wednesday. Of course it involves "Hello Kitty", I'm stuck on that cart right now.

Hello Kitty, Again!!!
I'm loving this cart. This will make a cute gift bag for my daughter. I like the fact that you don't have a lot of tiny pieces when you cut Hello Kitty. I have HEA and I have never cut one of the princess's because I don't feel like dealing with the small pieces. Prepare to see more Hello Kitty cuts from me in the near future....I'm addicted. I just ordered the Kello Kitty Font cart. I can't wait to get it.

Etching Jewerly Boxes
I was walking through a Big Lots store two weeks ago when I found a small mirror to etch to give as a Christmas gift. I walked further down the same aisle that I was in and spotted Mirrored Jewerly boxes. I picked up two of them and thought this would be a nice gift from my daughter to both of her grandmothers. Today I finally got around to etching the boxes and below are the results. I used Storybook for the font, Home Accents for the swirl and Armour Rub'N Etch stencils. Oh yeah, you are not seeing double.......my mother and mother in law share the same first name.

Hello Kitty
Okay, it's official.......I'm going to be a weekly or biweekly blogger. Sometimes I even forget that I started a blog..LOL. Today I found out that there was a new update to CDS, just what I was waiting for I have Cars and Hello Kitty carts but I was waiting for the Big Update for me to use them. In case you can't tell by the picture the Hello Kitty is actually a card.
I wanted to try to do a Christmas Criss Cross card with untradtional colors. I chose black and white American Crafts cardstock, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Martha Stewart punches and a cutfile that was downloaded from one of the many generous people on the Cricut Messageboard. I love the way this card came out. I will emboss it later with a "Happy Holidays" stamp. The ribbon is from Wally World.

More Christmas Cards...
Tis the season.... for Christmas Cards!!! Most of these cards was made using the Design Studio Software. Once again and always, thank you to those CricutMB members that share their beautiful cut files.... you guys really enable me!!! The card with the cross was made from a cut file from Susan Blue Robot. Making these cards was very therapeutic. I thought I was in love with "stamping" until I found out about "embossing." Thanks for looking!!!

Birthday Favor Bag
I'm currently battling a stomach ache, but through my pain I've found time to put together a favor bag for my daughter's Birthday. I will fill this bag with lip glosses, lotions and of course.....Hannah Montana's candy. She will love it! I already made the Milk Carton and Carrier for her. If you ever feel as if your craft projects are not appreciated..... make something for a child! Just seeing how she lights up make my day and make me create MORE.....
Flower Soft
Today I received my Flower Soft DVD in the mail. I wanted to get some ideas on how to use this item before I purchased it. The DVD helped me make a decisons as to what colors I needed to start. I ordered Heather, lime green, white and baby blue. They suggest a PVC glue but I noticed Aleene's Tacky glue being used with it on a website....who doesn't have Aleene's tacky glue somewhere in their house??? The flower wires look like standard flower wires with the white paper coating. I should receive my package next week and as soon as possible I will post a picture of my creation.

Crafters' Block?????
Everyone has heard of writer's block, but is there such a thing as crafters' block??? If there is.....I have it and I hope that it leaves as fast as it came. There are dozens of projects that I want to create. I can't seem to make myself attempt to create them. Maybe a good night's rest will cure this.

Milk Carton & Carrier
This gift set was made from a cut file created by Jen C. from the Cricut Messageboard. Jen makes beautiful, easy to use cut files. She is an asset to the MB and I'm very thankful for her generosity. I made this set as a gift for my DD birthday. I plan to fill the milk carton with candy.

Christmas Purse Cards
Okay, if you like purse cards you are at the right place. I have fallen in love with making these cards. Thanks to Jen C. from the Cricut Messageboard, I can cut these cards out in no time! She made a pattern for the cards with the Design Studio software. I use Christmas Themed paper from Hobby Lobby and the wreaths are from the Christmas Cheer Cart.
