My First Cameo Cuts....

I really like the way this machine cuts. All of the cuts are from Silhouette Studio even the bow on the bag. The bag has well defined "dashes" as score lines, which is very helpful. The fancy envelope cut perfectly without any rips or tears. My DD hates the way the Cameo sounds when it cuts. The sound tells me that it is a true Craft Robo product because it sounds identical to my old purple Wishblade which was also made by Craft Robo. TFL.

My Silhouette Cameo arrived today, and I must say that I see a lot of improvement in this machine from my first machine (Wishblade) which was also made by Craft Robo. The Cameo cuts very well without rips or tears. It can also cut extremely small really round circles unlike all 3 of my Cricuts. It came so late today that I really hadn't had much time to play with it. I'm really wanting to try a print & cut. So far I just have the basic software and I'm considering buying MTC. I already have SCAL2 & SCAL3. Well, I have to go to work in the AM..... good night.

It has been fun organizing things in my scrap room, but I'm ready to create something now....I don't know what but something. Plus I ran out of resources for the dasmask boxes that I was putting all of my stuff in. So all organizing will be on hold until I travel to find more of these cute boxes. As you can tell from the pictures my room is very small. It is actually in my bedroom and was meant to be a small office until I took it over. I have two bedrooms in my house that would be a better fit for a scrap room but that would encourage me to buy more stuff and put me all the way down the dark hall way. TFL.

Organization, lately... guess what I have been doing??? Yes, I have been slowly but surely organizing my small craft room. I have pledged not to create anything until I'm totally done. I have done a lot and still have a long way to go. These are the labels that I have created to identify some of my stuff. I ordered a Silhouette Cameo yesterday so I have to make room for that also, good thing it's not due to ship until February 6th.

I finally brought the items home that I made for Christmas that were used as decorations for my job's Christmas dinner and then later used to decorate my office. The Hello Kitty card was made eariler for a Cricut Circle meet that was in Greenville, SC, it won fourth prize. The glass blocks were decorated using SCAL and stickers, various dies and Cricut cuts were used on the cards, lastly Cricut cuts were used on the banners. TFL.

I made this bag for the recipient to store the other cards that she receive. I used Forever Young and Ribbon & Rossettes cart. The bag is made from two 12 x 12 sheets of cardstock. Recently, I attended a Cricut Circle meet in Greensville, SC and a fellow Cirlet gave us a quick demo on how to make this bag. I tweeked it just a little bit. TFL.

Retirement Card

Happy Thanksgiving! I started making this card around 10:00 pm last night and I finished it this morning. It is a retirement card for one of my co-workers. There is a get together scheduled for her retirement and I will be assisting with some of the decorations so you may see more items with this color scheme. I already have an idea in my head for a bag for her "well wishes/retirement" cards to go in. I used Ribbons & Rosettes and Forever Young Cricut Carts. The fancy cut at the top of the card is a Spellbinders die and the rest of the cuts are from Sizzix. I used by Ribbon Easy for the first time and I love the end result. TFL.

I have the name of our team on the front and personalized the back with each member's first name. Twenty five glasses in all. I hope they like them.

It's been a while since I posted. Today I have two items that I created for a Thanksgiving meal that we had this past Thursday at my job. I made a lot of other items but I gave them away after the dinner before I had a chance to take pictures. I used Cricut carts Birthday Bash and Hannah Montana (I think) for the banner. The rose is a Sizzix Big Shot Pro die. The tile was made using Sure Cuts A Lot and the same BSP die. I saw the sentiment on a tile on a website somewhere, but don't remember where. TFL.

I just finished making my Christmas tags for the Cricut Circle Meet in Greenville, SC. Making them took up most of my weekend. I also included a picture of my calling cards for the meet. My Cricut Imagine was instrumental in creating my tags and cards it is truly a time saver. I used George Basic Shapes, Enjoy The Season, Snow Angel and Imagine More Cards. After making "candy dishes" for my co-worker and my DD, I decided to make one for my self. I have been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately and one of the pictures that I pinned to my board was one of a cookie sheet repurposed as a message board. That seemed like a really cool idea that I had to try. I used Cricut Carts: Sophie and Flower shop and Cricut Imagine Vintage papers for the printed papers. I used Quickkutz, Cheryl Lynn Design and Sizzix dies also. I love the way it came out. TFL.

I decided to make more items for my Beautician's Grandson. The image on the bib is from an online coloring page which was easily traced in SCAL. The font is Walt Disney. I found the tote at Wally World for $4.00 and decided to use it as a gift box for the items that I bought for him. So he has a a couple of outfits, soft shoes, regular & personalized bibs and a baby wipe case in the tote. The tote can also be use to store his clothing or toys or whatever his mommy wants to put in it. The train is an SVG from My Vinyl Designer. TFL.

I was on a MB somewhere when I saw a picture that someonehas posted of a candy dish made from a pot. I knew I had to try this. It was pretty simple to do just paint the pot and it's saucer then glue the items together with E6000 glue. I made two one for my DD and another for a co-worker who is will be transferring to another state and I'm in charge of doing the decorations for her going away party. I think the candy dish will serve as a decoration with candy and a cute parting gift for her. TFL.

I have always wanted a Yudu, but it is so big and I barely have any free space in my craft room as it is. At one time the Yudu was a rewards item for Circle members and I was tempted again and with the price dropping I have been making myself promise not to get one due to it's size. So, when this small portable Yudu was announced I jumped on it. I ordered mine last night and I was able to use a coupon code since it was my husband (first purchase) who bought it for me. I also purchased two blank screens so I can personalize some of my creations. I heard you can use vinyl on the screens and I have lots of vinyl. So, is anyone else considering the Yudu card shop?

Sad News........My Imagine Stopped Working!

I hadn't used it in a while and with this being a four day weekend for me I decided to do another layout and then it happened, my Imagine wouldn't load the paper at all the rollers wouldn't roll. Now I have to wait until PC emails me a return label so I can get my I replaced. I did do a HTV onesie for my GD today, but I forgot to take a picture and she took it with her. Good thing I just purchased a Big Shot Pro so I can play with that. I gave my DD my Hello Kitty Big Shot and she has been having a blast with it. She out grew her Cuttlekids machine. I can't wait until the Grand Nesties become available.

I made this layout using the Imagine More cart. My DD was six years old in this picture. I used a lot of embellishments on this layout and I love the way it came out. It looks much better in person. The flash from the camera made it seem so light in color but it isn't. The butterfly is a Marianne Design Die. I stamped the picture with Starzon ink. TFL.

SSPT Fall Challenge

With all the leaves turning, it's given me the inspiration to work with all those purty (sorry that's the WV in me) colors. My Imagine Came!

I was very surpsrised to see my Imagine box in my laundry room when I came home from work today, because I didn't pay extra for shipping and the shipping date on my order said 9-23. Updating was easy and cutting and printing was fine also. The only thing that I don't like is the lack of stickyness (is that a word?) on the mat. So I had to use glue on a "brand new" mat. Here are a few of my first cuts, yeah I'm gonna be buying a lot of ink. I love the princess, as soon as the printable vinyl comes that I purchased she will be all over my DD room! So far I'm really loving my Imagine.

Lately I have been doing a lot of cleaning and trying to organize my DD's room and my Craft room. I'm satisfied with the work that my DH & I did in her bedroom, but I dare not ask him to come in here and assist me with organizing. I can hear his words already, "You don't need to buy anything else!" Back From CKC Charlotte

I really enjoyed CKC-Charlotte this year, I left Thursday with my DH & DD in tow. We stayed at the Hilton and thanks to my Nextar GPS we found our way around the city and we ventured to the Concord Mills Outlet. Hubby has finally admitted that my Nextar is better than his Garmin. When we used my GPS we travelled without incident, but when we used his GPS all we heard was "recalculating, make a U-turn as soon as possible". Wr also travelled to the Northlake Mall & went to the movies to see "Expendables" which had all of our favorite action hereos in it. We walked around the city a lot and had a great time. I have a lot of pictures that I need to get printed. The Vendor Faire was good, but could have been better. There was a lot of paper & embellishments, but not a lot of gadgets. I did see Cricut Dan, but he didn't have the Cart that I wanted, "Happy Hauntings". I shopped at the Vendor Faire both days and we left Charlotte on Sunday. My DH & DD can't wait to go again next year.

Today I received my order from Scrapyland.com. I ordered two of the new cutting/embossing folders and a Daisy Quilling set. I really love the new folders not just because they cut out a window, but because they are metal and gives a deeper, crisp embossed finish. Easel Card W/Quilling Set & Lovely Floral Cart

I'm so glad that Provo Craft made these Quilling Sets! The sets make it so easy to make 3D flowers. I don't have the Daisy set, but I will soon since I ordered it last night. This is my entry for the challenge at the SSPT blog for this month. I don't intend on giving to card to anyone (since it is pink). I really made it try out my new Marianne Design Dies. I really like the look of this card. I will use some Cricut cuts on the next one. This is my first Easel card and the challenge at the SSPT blog was to use some type of stiching on your project. Since I don't sew I used the Tim Holtz piercing ruler to punch the holes and then I ran thread thru the holes with a needle. TFL.

Lately I have been visiting a lot of blogs and websites overseas and I noticed while they use a lot of the same tools that we use in the U.S., they also have some tools that haven't made it our way yet. So after seeing Marianne Design Creatables Dies I knew I had to get some! These dies emboss and cut just like Spellbinder dies, but their design are a little different and prettier in my opinion. New Ribbon Storage

I ordered this Ribbon Organizer & Dispenser from Paper Wishes Catalog eariler last week and received it yesterday. I was surprised to see it shipped so soon. The organizer is made to hold 30 spools of ribbon, but I have 39 spools in it because I was able to double some of my narrow rolls of ribbon. The rolling tool is very easy to use. I'm ready to order more units to put the rest of my ribbon in. TFl.

Lately, I have been doing a lot of purchasing and no creating. I cleaned up my Scrap Room two weeks ago and it is so clean that I don't want to mess it up again. Soon I will have to start working on my project for the SSPT Blog's current challenge which has to incoporate "Stitches" into whateverI decide to make. I will be "cheating" that is the reason I bought the Tim Holtz ruler (it has piercing holes in it that I can used to make faux stitching. The Walmart that I went to had all of the lite carts except for Carousel and I really wanted that one. Now, off I go to pratice doing faux sticthing.

Bears Complete/Flowers Done!

I need help with chalking my bears and putting their bodies together. I watched a video on chalking on Youtube, but it didn't help me much. I'm not going to let my paper go to waste I'm going to find a project to use these bears on. I love the Chrysantheme Quilling set. I can see myself using those dies a lot. The rose flower isn't from Cuttlebug I just included it in the picture because I think it is so cute. It is from Sizzix, it is called flowers 3-D. I really like being able to make flowers that can really match my projects.

Look what came in the mail today......I really work my mail man. I can't wait to try these. I just finished cutting out some paper piecings with my E from Little Scraps Of Heaven and I'm going to chalk them and put them together. After they are completed I will try out the quilling kits. I like the Chrysanthemum the best.

Ink Pad Storage

My ink pad storage shelf came via UPS today. I ordered it from Organize More. They make a lot of neat things to help crafters keep their areas organized. Just what I need. My shelf holds 80 ink pads and since I just completed an Ink Club with Snowmanlover there won't be much space left on this shelf. I'm going to hang my shelf on the wall in my Craft Room. The Baby Shower

The shower went great! My SD loved everything and she received a lot of gifts for Rian. I received a lot of compliments about the decor especially the Candy Buffet. I wasn't able to take many pictures because I had such an active role in the shower, so most of the pictures posted will be the set up pictures. That's my SD in the hot pink dress with the sash on that her GM made and I decorated. TFL.

Baby Shower Sash/Updated Diaper Cake

This is the sash that my SD's Grandmother made for her to wear during the shower. The ribbon is the left over ribbon from the Diaper Cake. I put her name & the rattles on it. I decided to add some paper butterflies and a few other items to the diaper cake. I used the MS punch. TFL.

Daddy's Girl Shirt

I made this shirt for my DD who is both a Daddy's girl & a Mommy's girl. Most of the cuts are from the HM cart. I used SCAL for my DD's name. The metalliac purple made such a strong glare for the pictures, but the shirt is really cute. Her name is straight on the back of the shirt....the shirt was hanging crooked and it wouldn't hang right for me. I didn't get the rhinestones straight on the bag, but the quilted material of that bag just isn't easy to iron on. My DD loves it and wants to wear it tommorrow. TFL.

Chalkboard Tutu (Scraplift)

This chalkboard was orginally made by a member of the Cricut MB (Greenbean). She made it for National Scrapbooking Day. If you want instructions please look for her post under "crafting". I thought that this would make a nice addition to all of the other pink & brown things that I made for the baby shower. I used the wall vinyl on it so that after the shower I can pull the vinyl off and it can be used as a chalkboard in Rian's room. TFL.

Baby Basket

This was just a simple basket from Babies R Us that I decorated a little with ribbon, HTV & iron on patches. I hot glued the patches on because I didn't think they would have stayed well with just ironing on the ribbon's surface. Later I will try to stuff all of the things that I have purchased for Rian inside the basket and add a nice tag from TBBM or another cart. TFL.

I took a break from all of the cute baby pink stuff and decorated these bags for my DD, and two of my God Daughters. I purchased the bags for $1.00 from the Dollar Tree Store. I used the font Chopin Script. I not going to give them the bags until I fill them with some goodies (lip loss, mirror & hand lotion, etc). TFL.

These were fun to do and this was my first time layering vinyl, so please don't double click, lol. I got the wording from other MB members that did oneies. I rally love that blue & green the most not only because I used two colors but because the blue is a shiny metallic blue. TFL.

I worked on my Sd's Baby album pages today. She wanted a page just for the baby's hand and foot prints. She works in a hospital and she is sure that they will do both for her. Now I only have one more page to do and that will be the parents page for the album. I will give her some scrapbooking supplies with her book so that she can continue to scrap pages for her daughter once she arives. TFL.
